Holst + Lee + Updates from ME!

When I see a piece of jewelry (or, even better, an entire collection!) that would look just as appropriate on a tribal leader in the jungles of africa as it would paired with designer duds on a fashion savvy hipster in NYC, i'm hooked. That being said, I'm really really really really REALLY excited about Holst + Lee.  The seriously inspired jewelry is the vision of designers Rochelle Lee and Natalie Holst, and has been featured in Vogue, Dailycandy, and Nylon to name a few.  At first glance, it is allll the things i love to love in a jewelry brand: unprecedented style mash-ups, funky textures, BRIGHT colors, interesting shapes, and a general "BAM" feeling when you see it.  These are pics from the collection, check it out at their website

These next ones are all available at Shopbop, and i'm obsessed with these color block bracelets!  I especially love that chunky geometric hardware with the brand's name on either side. Stylin'

Omg this is soooo interesting i could literally look at it for hours.

So, this type of jewelry definitely bridges the gap between accessory and artwork, but it is perfectly fashion forward and wearable at the same time!  The duo did an exclusive Q&A for shop bop, and it's clear that their design concept is really creative and artful.  When asked about working with found objects, they said:
"We both had boxes and boxes full of things we had collected over the years. One day we decided to take everything we had—beads, ropes, brooches, fabric, you name it—and dumped it on a big table and literally dove in and started creating."
Talk about fun! I love how inventive  they are, and with a possible clothing line in the future they are definitely a pair for the fashion industry to keep their eye on :)

But, anyways.... more about ME!
